  Every time I called to schedule a time to be seen, literally every time, I was told to go to urgent care. The only thing they would schedule an appointment for was a yearly check-up and that was usually a 4 week lead time. I recently had an issue and requested to be seen as I thought the issue was serious enough to require treatment from a specialist - they would not see me sooner than 4 weeks. Ultimately it resulted in a required surgery - they still would not see me. I was able to bi-pass them to a specialist faster than they could see me - they would not even refer a specialist or alternative doctor. After 3-4 years I felt they knew less about me than the local urgent care or specialist. I have inquired if this is now standard practice with primary care (I am in the healthcare field) and it does not seem to be the case. The overall general feeling I got from this practice was that they act distant and seem disinterested in their patients. One the few occasions when I was seen, they seemed competent, but I would not recommend this practice.

  I changed primary physicians from the Rex in Holly Springs to the Rex in Fuquay. Dr. Barnett was wonderful and very thorough. She was candid with my health issues and encouraging toward positive goals. The staff is friendly and what I really appreciated was the punctuality of my appointment since my time is just as important as the doctor's office and staff. Riverbend was courteous and friendly as well, which I appreciated.

  The front office staff are rude and incompetent. After calling me to schedule a follow up they said I needed I showed up and my doctor had no idea why I was there! She made them refund my copay. About a month later they called me again for a follow up. I left a message for the nurse to have my doctor call me and she again said I did not need to come in. When it came time to some on for my annual and I needed a referral I gave them the name and number of who I wanted to see and the next day revived a call to confirm my appointment from a doctors office I had never heard of. When I called Riverbend they said they had no record of the office I had given them and blamed it on another girl who handles referrals. After finally getting in with my referred Doctor I show up to my appointment and Riverbend failed to send my records over. ( this is after I called them to verify they had sent them.) I had the wait for my records to be sent to the office I was at for over an hour! Riverbend has really gone downhill providing horrible service to their clients. I will not be going back! Let's just hope I can get my records sent to the correct place!!!
